His form of training &#8211; originally called <em>Contrology<\/em> &#8211; is based on controlled, conscious movement to strengthen the deep-lying muscles and sustainably improve posture. And this is exactly where his six principles come into play!<br><br><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Control<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pilates means body awareness.<\/strong><br>Control is the key to conscious movement &#8211; with strength, clarity and a deep feeling for your body. There is no room for hasty movements in Pilates. You lead your body &#8211; not the other way round, which is particularly noticeable on the Pilates equipment. Every little instability is immediately recognised &#8211; and invites you to become even more precise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concentration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pilates means presence.<\/strong><br>Your body does not follow automatically, but is controlled with your full attention. Every movement is consciously and clearly guided.
