The powerhouse is activated, consisting of the deep-lying straight and oblique abdominal muscles, the pelvic floor and the diaphragm. These muscle groups are connected to the spine and are important for an upright and <a href=\"https:\/\/realzpilates.berlin\/en\/2021\/08\/18\/posture-breathing\/\">stable posture<\/a>. Activating deep breathing can already lead to relaxation of the strained neck and shoulder areas.
